The new national open data portal, data.gov.gr, designed to serve as the central access point for public sector data in Greece, has been successfully delivered by the consortium of OTS, Nova ICT, and Crowdpolicy.

The platform brings together and provides access to thousands of public datasets for citizens, businesses, researchers, universities, and public organizations, promoting transparency and encouraging the wider use of public information across the country.

Leveraging its extensive expertise and long-standing experience in developing advanced information systems, OTS continues to deliver innovative digital solutions that create lasting value for public administration.

The establishment of a unified open data environment marks a significant step towards a more transparent, efficient, and interoperable public sector. At the same time, it creates new opportunities for the development of data analytics applications, research tools, and innovative digital services built on reliable, structured public data.

Today, the portal hosts 9,523 open datasets, 31,441 data resources, 22 data services, and 455 participating organizations, making it Greece’s primary gateway to public sector information.

The implementation of data.gov.gr supports the publication and effective reuse of public sector data through modern technological standards, contributing substantially to the digital maturity of the Greek public administration and fostering a more open, data-driven, and innovation-oriented digital ecosystem. Its ultimate objective is to enable informed decision-making by providing access to reliable, publicly available data that can support evidence-based policies, research, and business innovation.
